Bio
Owen Blake, Ph.D. is the Associate Athletic Director, an Assistant Professor of Maharishi Vedic Science, and a faculty fellow with the Dr. Tony Nader Institute at Maharishi International University. Dr. Blake received his Ph.D. from MIU for his dissertation investigating the effects of the Transcendental Meditation technique on elite professional esports athletes. This research established Dr. Blake as a pioneer in the industry and an expert in the Consciousness-Based Sports methodology.
Prior to joining MIU, Dr. Blake served as a performance coach for Misfits Gaming in Berlin, Germany, where he applied CBS principles with a professional esports roster over two and a half years. Under his guidance, the team qualified for the playoffs in consecutive seasons, finishing one match from the World Championship both years.
In his role with the Maharishi Vedic Science department, Dr. Blake launched the ongoing podcast Consciousness and Human Potential, aimed at connecting MIU with industry experts and thought leaders in the realms of consciousness, spirituality, and human development.
Dr. Blake has previously served as a Regional Director for the Maharishi Foundation USA and as a board member for Global Projects for Peace.
